BCO Has Five Core Beliefs

WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE it is time to expand the vision and embrace the Banks community as our new family. We have come to serve those that are hurting and searching for something more. Bring your marriages, your health challenges, your children, your tongues, your dreams, your minds, your hearts, your communities, your jobs, your businesses and lay them at the feet of Jesus. One encounter with Christ will transform your life.
The Gospel Message
WE BELIEVE that Christ’s crucifixion on the Cross constituted the means by which a man could be saved. Christ knew no sin, yet willfully became a once and for all propitiation, or substitute sacrifice, for man’s sin. He satisfied God’s criteria of being a sacrifice without spot or blemish. Thus man can be counted as righteous based on the merit of Christ and not his own. SALVATION We believe that man is saved, or credited with righteousness when he accepts Christ as his lord and savior. Salvation is achieved based on Romans 10:9-10 which states that if man will confess with his mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in his heart that God hath raised Jesus from the dead
Salvation
WE BELIEVE we are saved, or credited with righteousness when we accept Christ as our lord and savior. Salvation is achieved based on Romans 10:9-10 which states that if man will confess with his mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in his heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. We believe that salvation counts a person as a new creation in Christ Jesus.
The Church
WE BELIEVE The Church is a community of redeemed people worldwide under the Lordship of Jesus who meet regularly to worship, be discipled, partake of the sacraments, fellowship, and carry out the great commission together. Jesus established the local church to function with ordained leaders and a form of governance that protects guides, and releases people in their gifts to minister. The church functions under the theocratic rule of God with clearly defined elders. We believe that the Church is God’s primary instrument, through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. To equip the saints for the work of ministry, God has given the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
